Karen Giles, M.C.S.P., MSc Sports Physiotherapy, Grad. Dip. Physio.
Karen
qualified as a chartered physiotherapist in 1990 and completed an MSc in Sports
Physiotherapy in 2005, attaining a distinction.
She specialises in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of back, neck and sports injuries and has researched shoulder injuries amongst national and international cricketers, whilst working with the England and Wales Cricket Board for 10 years. Karen has previously worked with hockey, rugby, and football teams and provided physiotherapy support at the London and Everest Marathons, and continues to assist the England Academy Women's Cricket Team. She has had extensive involvement with children, providing physiotherapy services in a variety of sports settings, and has gained valuable experience working in both New Zealand and Australia. She is a Mckenzie credentialed spinal practitioner, and has post-graduate training in acupuncture for pain relief and pilates.
Memberships Include: Mckenzie Institute, Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine, Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice.

Electrotherapy including ultrasound and interferential

Biomechanical assessments and prescriptive exercise programmes, including core stability and pilates, to improve joint range of motion and muscle strength. These can be sport specific or adapted to suit differing ages or abilities
Injury prevention and performance enhancement advice specific to your sport

A 10% discount is offered to members and their families, and Leisure Card holders, but will not be extended to insurance companies. Corporate discounts may be negotiated.
Appointments are available between 8.00 a.m. and 8.00 p.m. Weekend appointments available.
Physiotherapists are registered with all major insurance companies and HSA. Contacting us. If you wish to make enquiries regarding physiotherapy or sports massage you can do so by contacting the physiotherapists directly. We will be happy to discuss your requirements and organise an appropriate assessment and course of treatment, as necessary, at a time convenient to you. Should physiotherapy not be indicated we would refer you to the appropriate specialist, providing copies of your physiotherapy assessment and a referral letter, with no additional charge.
